Social Media Intern Overview

We’re looking for a Social Media Intern!

A Children’s House for the Soul, a community for those with skin conditions, is seeking a Social Media Intern to begin as soon as possible. The position would be unpaid, but A Children’s House would be happy to work with college and university faculty to ensure a positive student experience, confirm the number of hours completed, and provide appropriate supervision and helpful evaluation.

Our social media efforts include but are not limited to: education, health, encouragement, and positive self-esteem, fundraising, positive social influence challenges and initiatives, and spreading awareness related specifically to skin conditions and visible differences.

Interns would gain experience in: managing and scheduling social media posts, working with bloggers and discovering supportive online resources, developing reader engagement, developing unique and creative educational content, and more.

Work Hours & Benefits: This experience would be beneficial for any student interested in working in fields such as nonprofit, community engagement, online content development, marketing, careers that provide social and emotional support for children and teens, and more.

The position requires 10-12 hours per week, and the schedule is flexible and will be primarily managed by the intern themselves. Interns would be responsible for attending weekly meetings with the Director of Education and Encouragement (virtually or in-person), helping to schedule posts, develop ideas for content and initiatives, and take action to increase online community engagement.
