Recap of Family Day 2019

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful Spring day to visit Camp for All with our families!

Camp for All is a unique, barrier-free camp working in partnership with other not-for-profit organizations to enrich the lives of children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs.

Every summer, the American Academy of Dermatology hosts Camp Discovery at the beautiful Camp for All facility. Camp Discovery offers children living with a chronic skin condition a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Provided at no cost to the families, Camp Discovery is one week of fun for kids with conditions ranging from eczema and psoriasis, to vitiligo and alopecia, to epidermolysis bullosa and ichthyosis.

For many families and children, the thought of a week apart and in a new place can be overwhelming. So that’s where we step in! We host a Family Day that hopefully brings comfort and builds excitement for Camp Discovery in the summer.

This year at Family Day, our kids and their families enjoyed a Disney themed day full of horse rides, a wagon ride, climbing and rappelling, canoeing, fishing, and more! This is one of our favorite events and we can’t wait for camp this August!

Recap of Heart and Soul Valentine’s Ball 2019

A Children’s House for the Soul is thrilled to report a very successful first biennial Heart & Soul Valentine’s Ball on February 9th 2019. Approximately 120 guests enjoyed dinner by Five Loaves & Two Fish Catering, drinks, dancing with the Royal Dukes and a silent auction at the Health Museum in Houston.

2018 Family Day

Sunday, April 22nd was a wonderful day at Camp For All in Burton, TX. The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the breeze was blowing. But it was the Camp Dermadillo campers and their families that made the day so wonderful.
